Congratulations to Geesun ‘battery manufacturing process and equipment academician workstation’ officially opened
On 18th Nov, 2021, the ‘2021 Shenzhen Science and Technology Society Academic Activity Month Launching Ceremony’ was held at the Shenzhen Institute of Quantum Research, and the ‘2021 Shenzhen Academician (Expert) Workstation Awarding Ceremony’ was held at the same time, hosted by the Shenzhen Science and Technology Society and organized by the Shenzhen Electronics Society.
The ‘Battery Manufacturing Process and Equipment Academician Workstation’ established by Geesun and Liquan Chen, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering was approved to be listed, and a plaque was issued by Xiang Lin, Secretary of the Party Group of Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology. Only 15 enterprises in Shenzhen were approved to establish academician workstations, and Geesun was recognized by the government for its strength!
Academician Liquan Chen of this workstation is the first person to conduct research on lithium batteries and related materials in China, and was the first to successfully develop lithium-ion batteries in China, solving the scientific, technical and engineering problems of large-scale production of lithium-ion batteries and realizing the industrialization of lithium-ion batteries. He also conducted research on the design, synthesis, characterization, physical and electrochemical properties and their applications of physicochemical processes and related materials in all-solid-state lithium batteries, lithium-sulfur batteries, lithium-air batteries, room-temperature sodium ion batteries and solid oxide fuel cells, laying the foundation for the development of next-generation power batteries and energy storage batteries.
The ‘battery manufacturing process and equipment academician workstation’ will establish and improve the lithium battery electrode material laser cutting process system, solid-state battery cell preparation process system; develop the industrialization of related achievements to promote the application of the program, to promote the application of results; will break through the industry's key technologies, solve industry problems, promote the development of the industry production chain, and contribute to energy saving and emission reduction, and protect the ecological environment.
